The Timber Lane Tigersharks compete in the North Brandywine Swim League (NBSL) and include all age group swimmers. Practices begin the first week of June. Swim meets start at the end of June and run through the second week of July concluding with NBSL Championships the fourth weekend of July. While Timber Lane prides itself on its tradition of champion swimmers, its primary focus is building sportsmanship and teamwork.

| The Timber Lane Tigersharks have a long history of fostering team spirit. One of the favorite traditions is assigning each team member a "Buddy". An older swimmer is chosen as the Buddy of a younger swimmer. They make posters for each other before every swim meet and are sure to be seen cheering each other on at their respective events. Very often it is the swim buddy that successfully encourages a young swimmer to take the plunge at her first meet.

| Another favorite tradition is the "Pizza Lunch". Before each swim meet the team gathers for a lunch together. They eat and play together and build team spirit through comradarie.
At every swim meet, everyone swims and everyone wins. No one goes without a ribbon and at the end of the season, everyone gets a trophy. The Timber Lane Tigersharks strive to prove swimming is truly a team sport.
