Alex led our coaching staff in 2010, and led our Tiger Sharks to an undefeated season!!! Alex is stepping up to manage the pool, and will continue to work with the Swim Team as an assistant coach (his 3rd year on the Swim Team staff). He swam for BRY's Nationals Team as well as for Mount Pleasant HS.
Alex just finished his third year at the University of Maryland, and is majoring in Environmental Politics and Policy. He is also a dedicated cyclist and enjoys coaching and guarding at the 'coolest pool in the world'.
We are glad to have Alex back, not only coaching the Tiger Sharks but also managing the pool for the 2011 Season!

Erin Hammond
Swim Team Head Coach & Life Guard
Erin was instrumental in the success of the 2010 Tiger Sharks awesome season. Erin has participated in swimming for many years, including four years at Mount PLeasant HS, six years for the YMCA, and two years for Team Delaware. Erin has also dedicated eleven years as a Timber Lane Tiger Shark! Its this dedication to Swim Team, and to the Tiger Sharks that makes her a perfect fit to lead the swim team into the 2011 Season!
Erin just finished her first year at the University of South Carolina (GO GAMECOCKS!). She is majoring in Business at the University.
Erin knows that there is going to be a lot of pressure this year for the Tiger Sharks, who will be swimming up in the Red (A) division, but has said numerous times that she is looking forward to the challenge and to a great season!
Welcome back Erin!!!

| Paige Bennett
Swim Team 6&U Coach
Paige has been swimming at Timber Lane since she was seven years old, and has been swimming for BRY since she was nine. She has been at Tower Hill for 13 years, and is entering her Senior year this fall. Paige plans on continuing to swim for both Tower Hill and BRY this season. Paige was also very instrumental in our 2010 undefeated season, and is truly a dedicated Tiger Shark!
Aside from swimming competitively, Paige also enjoys playing with her dog Theo, as well as babysitting. She has volunteered at such places as the Mary Campbell Center (swim instructor) as well as the SPLASH program at the YMCA. Due to her wonderful demeanor, and her fondness of children, Paige makes a PERFECT fit to help teach and instruct our very large and up and coming six and unders this year. We don't think we could have a finer young lady to help teach and mentor the future of our Timber Lane Tiger Shark Team!!! Paige is very excited to start the season and to get to know all of our new young swimmers!
Welcome to the Coaching Staff Paige!!!

Hannah Browne
Life Guard
This will be Hannah's first year guarding at Timber Lane Swimming Club, but comes highly recommended as a guard, and as a person! Hannah swam for Lane Pool and Mount Pleasant HS, and has also been a swim instructor at the YMCA.
Hannah just finished up her Senior year at Mount Pleasant HS's IB program, and will be attending Penn State in the fall. She will be majoring in Forensic Science (Future C.S.I. Browne !!!). Besides swimming, Hannah also plays lacrosse and field hockey. she has also spent summers volunteering at the YMCA Camp Quoowant, as well as working as a hostess at Grotto's Pizza.
Hannah is very excited to be a Tiger Shark, and we look forward to having her guard at Timber Lane! Welcome aboard Hannah, and good luck this year!!!

| Sidra Bell
Life Guard
This will also be Sidra's first year guarding at Timber Lane, and she also comes highly regarded! Sidra swam for Silverside for eight years, and has also swam for DST (four years) and BRY (three years). Sidra has many years of experience across multiple swimming clubs. Sidra just completed her Senior Year at Archmere, where she also swam competitively. In fact, while swimming for the Auks for the past four seasons, she has made it to states each and every year!!!
In the fall, Sidra plans on attending the University of Delaware, majoring in Special Education. Aside from being a swim instructor at the YMCA, she hs also guarded at the United Cerebral Palsy pool and has volunteered her time as a swim instructor for Water Wise Urban Swim Program and SPLASH program at many of our local YMCAs.
Considering her future major, and the places she has volunteered and instructed, one can easily see that Sidra has the ambition and desire to not only improve her overall swimming and instructing credentials, but to help those less fortunate then herself. Such commitment to the betterment of others is very welcoming in this day and age, and we are proud to welcome Sidra into the Timber Lane family. We know she will do a wonderful job this season!
Welcome Sidra, thanks for joining the team!

Tommy Defosse Life Guard
Although Tommy will be the youngest member of the Timber Lane staff, he comes with a boatload of quality references and experience. Tommy swims for Crestview, and this will be his 11th season with the Rays. Tommy also swims for BRY, where his coaches have had nothing but positive and wonderful things to say about this young man. For being the youngest on the staff, you wouldn't know it by all the things we heard about him, including his maturity level and his penchant for being a hard worker in everything he does!
Tommy just finished up his freshman year at Brandywine HS. He enjoys many things, but swimming and sports are at the top of his list.
Tommy chose to work at Timber Lane for a couple reasons....its close to his home, but more importantly, because he has heard many great things about Timber Lane!!!
Welcome aboard Tommy! We are very excited to have you on the team!
